Historia Polski
Poland, known officially as the Republic of Poland, is a country located in Central Europe. Its rich history dates back to the 10th century when it was founded by Mieszko I, who became its first ruler.
Over time Poland grew into one of the largest and most powerful countries in Europe. It played a significant role on both sides during World War II and suffered greatly under Nazi occupation. Following this period came communist rule which lasted until 1989 when democracy was restored after peaceful protests led by Solidarity labor union activist Lech Walesa.
Throughout its history Poland has been invaded many times due to its strategic location between Russia and Germany with countless wars fought over control of territory including The Deluge (1655-1660), Napoleonic Wars (1807-1812) and World War I (1914 – 1918).
The Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth existed for over two centuries from late sixteenth through eighteenth centuries before finally being partitioned three ways among Prussia, Austria-Hungary Empire And Imperial Russia at end Eighteenth Century leading up First Partition Of Poland(1772).
